For the start of homecoming week, the Murray County Central Rebels volleyball team hit the road to travel across the county where they met up with the Fulda Raiders. The Rebels have been playing strong with their attacks at the net along with great defense and this game was no different as MCC took care of business in Fulda with a 3-0 win.
The Rebels came out strong in the first set as they built a small, comfortable lead right away. The Raiders stayed right with them for a short while, but the Rebels pushed on to take the first set, 25-16. In the second set, the Rebels dominated right from the start. They never gave Fulda a chance to make a comeback and the Rebels took off to win by plenty, 25-12 in the second set.
In the third set, the Rebels kept the momentum going and grew a sizeable lead right away. Much like the first set, the Raiders did what they could to keep with the Rebels, but the MCC offense was too strong for Fulda as they walked away with a 25-15 win in the third set.
The Rebels served seven aces in the game with Danielle Kuball, Elise Rohrer, and Montana Beckmann each having two. Alyssa Groves led the team with 12 of the teams 42 kills as well.
