Fulda Raiders lose heartbreaker

In a playoff matchup between the #7 seed WestbrookWalnut Grove Chargers and the #10 seed Fulda Raiders, the game ended up being a battle to the end.

The Raiders came out strong serving and were aggressive on both offense and defense and won the first set with a score of 25 to 22. In the second set the Chargers came out serving hard and won the set 25 to 15. Then the Raiders turned it around and won the 3rd set 25 to 14 but the Chargers won the 4th set with a score of 25 to 14. It all came down to a fifth set. The Raiders battled but came up short losing the set 12 to 15.

McKenzie Evers played well offensively and defensively leading the Raiders in kills with 10 and digs with 15. Emily Madison stepped up serving going 12 for 16 with 6 aces and had 8 kills and 3 solo blocks. Kelsey Furstenburg had a solid night serving going 24 for 25 with 1 ace and had 8 kills along with 5 digs. Evany Luna played well overall finishing the night with 6 kills, 5 digs, and 1 solo block. Emma Wehking had a good serving night going 10 for 11 with 2 aces. Chrissy Hermeling finished the night with 21 set assists and was 12 for 14 serving with 1 ace.

Game scores were 25-22, 15-25, 25-14, 14-25, and 12-15.
