Fulda Memorial Library held Read for the Record this week with Dwayna Paplow reading to students at Fulda Elementary School on Monday and then holding a reading for younger children at the library on Thursday afternoon. This year’s Read for the Record book was entitled Maybe Something Beautiful, How Art Transformed a Neighborhood, written by F. Isabel Campoy and Theresa Howell and illustrated by Rafael Lopez. The book tells the true story of how art changed a neighborhood in San Diego from gray and drab to colorful and inspiring.
