Entries being sought for 6th annual Parade of Lights
Float entries are being sought for the 2018 Parade of Lights. Please contact Fulda City Hall at 507-425-2504 with the type of entry (business, family, school, etc., and the name of the person in charge of your float, and the name of the business or organization you represent. A contact phone number is also needed.
The date of the 2018 Parade of Lights is Saturday, December 8th.
Float line-up and judging will start at 4:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church parking lot.
The event is sponsored by the Fulda Area Community Club
Holiday Coloring Contest for kindergarten to Adult
Fulda Arts and Legacy Group is holding a Holiday Coloring Contest for ages kindergarten through adults. The age groups are kindergarten through 9 years, ages 10-12, ages 13-16, and ages 17 – adult. Coloring pages are available for pick-up at First National Bank, Fulda Area Credit Union, Fulda Memorial Library, Maynards Food Store and Antonios.
Prizes will be awarded in each age category with 1st place receiving $10.00 and 2nd place receiving $5.00.
The coloring pages may be colored with any medium that you choose.
Please return your colored sheet to the business where you picked it up. Saturday, December 1st, 2018 is the entry deadline.
Fulda’s “UFFDA” Hotdish cook-off is December 4th
Dust off those cookbooks and dig out the crusty favorite recipe cards! It is time for the Fulda “UFFDA” Hotdish Cook-off which will be held on Tuesday, December 4th.
Who will bring the winning dish? Will they win ownership for one year of the coveted “Sojourning Sculpted Spoon of Superiority”?
Fulda “UFFDA” Hotdish Cook-off entries are needed at the Fulda High School cafeteria no later than 5 p.m. Serving will begin at 5:30 p.m., until gone. The cook-off is being held prior to the boy’s basketball game versing the Ellsworth Panthers.
On the menu will be hotdish, bun, cheese, milk or water.
Fulda’s Parade of Lights Committee is looking for 20 hotdishes, either in 9 by 13 pans or crock pots, to be judged on creativity, appearance, aroma and taste by a distinguished panel of judges. (Judges are not allowed to enter a hotdish.).
EVERYONE is encouraged to enter for a chance to win prizes.
Pre-registration deadline is Friday, November 30th. Entry forms listing your name and the name of your recipe must be mailed to Fulda Area Community Club, P. O. Box 271, Fulda, MN 56131, no later than November 30th.
