Local military men and women honored at Veterans Day Program

Fulda men and women were honored and recognized at the 2018 Veterans Day Program held at Fulda High School on Thursday morning.

Following a welcome by Fulda FCCLA  members Logan Clarke, Olivia Clarke and Carlos Menza, members of Fulda Legion Post #318  and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #9017 marched in to post the colors. The Fulda High School band, directed by Matt Saxman played the Star Spangled Banner, followed by the Fulda Elementary 5th grade class leading the Pledge of Allegiance and the 3-6th grade students signing Proud to be American.

The invocation was given by Fulda Legion Post Chaplain Wally Johlfs.

Several Fulda Schools’ faculty and staff members were recognized for their participation in the Jeans for Troops Program. The participants paid $5.00 to wear jeans to school on certain days. The funds go to the GI Go Fund.

Fulda High School Choir performed We Honor You written by Roger Emerson and the 10th grade United States History Class read World War I Remembrances.
