Every year around the Thanksgiving holiday, the streets of Fulda become adorned with lighted wreaths, candle wreaths, candy canes and poinsettias – which give the town a more festive atmosphere.
Have you ever seen or wondered how those decorations appear just at the right time, and with all of their lights glittering and glimmering, adding to the magic of Christmas-time?
In Fulda, it’s a process that can take as many as five to six days of work, Neil Froderman explained. It begins when the decorations are taken out of storage and brought to the City Shop. Once there, the decorations are checked over for any defects, rewiring is done, if needed, and all others repairs made. “We usually replace 125 bulbs each year,” Froderman said.
