Letters to the Editor – Parade of Lights

To the Editor,

Thank you, thank you, to the people of Fulda and the surrounding area that were such hard workers in putting on the Parade of Lights and all the activities that they did. It was entertaining for all ages.

You really outdid yourselves this year. The parade was colorful and beautiful and was well organized.

Each and everyone of you did a good job. Keep up the good work.

Brian’s Supper Club had a good soup buffet and other activities they had planned.

Buy in our little town when you can or we will be losing it.

A Very Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year.

Letter to the Editor

WOW!  I must preface this letter by stating at the onset, I dislike winter…a lot!  So, when husband dear came into the house and said, ‘Let’s go to the parade in Fulda’, I thought he was nuts.  I dressed in a multitude of layers and by the time I put my coat, scarf and stocking cap on I was unrecognizable.  And, that was most people I saw along the street waiting for the start of the parade.  What a wonderful sight, the awesome floats, the people stamping and clapping (I think the stamping might have been to keep warm); and the little children delighted with the treats either handed over or thrown from floats. So many children! It was a magnificent display of a small community working together. Countless events went on throughout the week and I must admit, we missed most of them, but we are going to mark this down for next year and make sure we have a bunch of grandchildren with us.  Fulda proud!  There is a reason.
