A SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MURRAY COUNTY
February 4, 2020 8:30 a.m. Pursuant to notice, the Murray County Board of Commissioners convened with the following members present: Commissioners Gunnink, Jens, Kluis, David Thiner, and Welgraven. Also present were Thomas Burke, Travis Smith and Amy Rucker.
MSP to approve the minutes from the January 28, 2020 meeting.
Open Forum: There was no one present for Open Forum.
MSP that all claims as presented were approved for payment. The Chairman was authorized to sign the Audit List dated February 4, 2020 with fund totals as follows and warrants numbered 161383 through 161434:

MSP to authorize Murray County Commissioners to receive per diems for attending Minnesota Viewing Association training.
MSP to approve and authorize the Board Chair to sign the annual law enforcement contract with the City of Avoca.
MSP to approve hiring Denise Halbur as a regular full-time Dispatcher/Jailer in the Sheriff Department contingent upon favorable background check and drug test results.
MSP to approve hiring Bryar Hegstad as a regular part-time Dispatcher/Jailer in the Sheriff Department contingent upon favorable background check and drug test results.
MSP to approve the reclassified job description of the Deputy Auditor – Secretary to a Deputy Auditor – Property/Ditches at a labor grade 6.
MSP to approve the updated job description for the Deputy Auditor – Elections/Property/Ditches.
MSP to approve the updated job description for the Chief Deputy Auditor.
MSP to approve promoting Margo Newman to a Deputy Auditor – Property/Ditches.
MSP to approve promoting Mary Ellen Moline to a Chief Deputy Auditor-Treasurer.
MSP to appoint David Thiner as Policy Committee Member and James Jens as an Alternate for the Des Moines River Watershed One Watershed One Plan.
MSP to select Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. (SEH) to perform design work for the CSAH 29 project in Hadley for a cost of $111,400.00 (account 10-330-6265), further moving to authorize County Engineer Randy Groves to sign the contract.
