A SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD
May 2, 2017, 8:30 a.m. Pursuant to notice, the Murray County Board of Commissioners convened with the following members present: Commissioners Magnus, Kluis, Thiner and Gunnink. Also present Aurora Heard and Travis Smith.
MSP to approve the agenda as modified.
MSP to approve consent agenda item 1.
MSP and carried that all claims as presented were approved for payment. The Chairman was authorized to sign the Audit List dated May 2, 2017 with fund totals as follows and warrants numbered 152699 – 152753:

MSP to approve ditch contractor bills for County Ditches No. 40(5), 43A(5), 43B(5), 43M(5), 82(2) and Judicial Ditches No. 6(3), 18(2), 20A(2), 21(2) totaling $19,707.11.
MSP Resolution 2017-05-02-01, to Participate in the 2017 Performance Measures Program.
MSP to approve a subordination agreement Christopher P. Bressler and Cara L. Bressler, husband and wife for property at 207 Center Street South, Lake Benton, MN 56149 (Lincoln County tax id. # 19-0061-000) for a Regional Small Cities Development Program Loan, further moving to authorize the Auditor-Treasurer to sign the agreement on behalf of the County.
MSP to approve ditch inspection report for County Ditches No. 43M, 57(2) and Judicial Ditch No. 15.
MSP to approve selling Sheriff’s squad #112, a 2009 Dodge 2500 pickup truck.
MSP to approve waiving the $1.00 racing fee for salute to agriculture night on June 30, 2017.
MSP to approve a DJ Band for Hall of Fame and 25th Anniversary Night on July 7, 2017 with the music stopping at 12:30 a.m. and no serving alcohol after 12:00 a.m. and everyone needs to vacate the premises by 1:00 a.m.
MSP to approve extending the lease with the Murray County Racing Association up to October 14, 2017.
MSP Proclamation, Paint the County Purple Relay For Life of Murray County
MSP to approve the estimate from Engelkes Electric, LLC in the amount of $5,191.91, using the Ag-Star Grant, for additional circuits in the cattle barn.
MSP to approve allowing Minnwest Bank to use the fairground for a community picnic on June 20, 2017.
Open Forum/Public Comment
MSP to set a bridge opening date for Project Number SAP 51-599-98 and SAP 51-599-99 in Ellsborough Township and Project Number SAP 51-599-100 Chamarambie Township for 10:30 a.m. on June 6, 2017.
MSP to approve hiring Allisen Cantin as a regular full time Administrative Assistant in the Sheriff’s Office effective May 15, 2017.
MSP to approve increasing Gaylene Chapman’s hours to 29 per week and Janet Timmerman’s hours to 40 hours per week, as needed, until the End O Line Site Coordinator position is backfilled.
MSP to approve beginning the recruitment process for a regular part time End O Line Site Coordinator with an average of 30 hours per week with the minimum qualifications remaining the same with a BA degree as a preferred qualification and including supervision.
MSP to set a public hearing for June 6, 2017 for the Highway Department ADA Transition Plan.
