A SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD September 26, 2017

September 26, 2017, 8:30 a.m. Pursuant to notice, the Murray County Board of Commissioners convened with the following members present: Commissioners Kluis, Magnus, Jens, Gunnink and Thiner. Also, present Aurora Heard.

MSP to approve the agenda as modified.

MSP to approve consent agenda item 1.

MSP to approve ditch contractor bills for County Ditches No. 19, 22, 27, 29, 35(2) and Judicial Ditches No. 10, 20A totaling $9,168.25.

MSP to approve ditch inspection report for County Ditch No. 11.

MSP to approve tabling ditch petition #2017-045 and #2017-011 (CD 29, Shetek Twp. Sec. 25 & 26, until more information is provided.

MSP to approve Soil and Water’s 2017 third quarter appropriation in the amount of $46,569.75.

MSP to approve the low quote from Ankrum Cabinets and Construction in the amount of $10,400.00 for the Lime Lake Park Shelter from account code: 01-521-526-6610.

Open Forum/Public Comment – Steve Illg was present to discuss aeration on Lake Shetek. Park/Aeration Director Hoffmann will talk to the landowner regarding a price.

MSP Resolution 2017-09-26-01, Resolution Setting the 2018 Preliminary Levy and Budget Hearing

MSP to approve and authorize the Chair sign a Minnesota Governor’s Broadband Task Force.

The meeting was recessed.

The meeting was called back to order at 1:00 p.m. to discuss costs associated with the re-route of Murray County Ditch No. 11 tile out from under State Highway 30 in Sections 11 and 12 of Leeds Township. Present: Commissioners Kluis, Jens, Gunnink and Thiner. Also, present Aurora Heard, Heidi Winter, Kurt Deter, or Drainage Authority; Howard Konkol, Ditch Inspector; Randy Groves, County Engineer; Landowners Kevin Nelson, Steve Fresk, Harry Brands and Doug Halbur; MnDOT representatives, Angela Forsythe, Dave Johnston and Nathan Pederson; Others, Katie Beers, Wheel Herald; Dorothy Bloemendaal, Murray County News. Excused Absence: Commissioner Gerald Magnus.
