Aanenson Realty and Auction Company recently moved their office to 2391 State Hwy 62, just east of Fulda. Owner Larry Aanenson said, “I’m cutting back and it was time to move out of up-town Fulda.   For the first time in my life I can walk across my yard and be in the office. We will be specializing in auctions of residential and farm properties.”

Aanenson grew up in Pipestone, MN, graduating from Pipestone High School in 1967. “I always wanted to be a veterinarian, but that was eight years of schooling and a lot of funds to reach that goal, so I went to Pipestone Vo Tech for banking,” he said.

On October 1, 1968, Aanenson joined the staff of Citizen’s State Bank in Fulda! He was 19 years old. On May 3, 1969, he joined the Air National Guard and served six years.  “I worked in the bank until 1974 when they needed help in the Citizen’s State Agency. George Estrem and I worked together in the insurance agency until George left in 1976. I ran the agency from 1976 until 1989 when Robert P. Howe sold the business to me,” Aanenson said, sharing the beginning history of his business life in Fulda. “I renamed the insurance agency Aanenson Agency, Inc.”
