Seventh-graders Caleb Appel (seventh, 6:42) and Zach Kirchner (10th, 6:53) each ran near the front of the 28-finisher junior high boys’ event, running a course which was a bit more than 1,600 meters. The Top 10 finishers in each race were awarded Warrior CC T-Shirts, so both Appel and Kirchner received one.
Eighth-graders John Olsem (15th, 7:28) and Caleb Ethridge (20th, 7:40) also competed well for the MCC / F junior high boys.
Sophomore Adrian Schwaller finished 18th in the boys’ junior varsity (JV) race with a 5,000-meter time of 22:05. Freshman Wyatt Biren placed 48th with his time of 28:05.
The Warriors are running at Olivia on Thursday (October 3) and will compete at the huge Adrian Invitational next Tuesday, October 8. The following Monday (October 14), MCC / F will host the Red Rock Conference Meet on the Slayton course.
