After starting off to a great 6-0-1 start, the Fulda Little Mites suffered their first setback of the season, dropping a tough 3-1 decision to Lakefield. The Big Mites held on for an impressive 7-2 victory over Lakefield, bringing them to 5-2-1 on the season.
Little Mites
It was a pitcher duel early in the game as neither team could push more than a run across. Fulda got their first and only run in the 2nd, when Keegan Spittle hit a triple and then was driven in by Mason Timmerman single. The only other hits was a single by Dillon Smith and single by Jackson Kramer. Keegan and Dillon did a great job of shutting out the Lakefield squad. However, they got a little momentum in the 5th and final inning and ended up winning the game 3-1. The Little Mites are hungry to get back to their winning ways as they have two games this week before the tournament starts on the 18th for the Little Mites.

Simon Spittle and Rylan Klein also scored in the 3rd and Wyatt finished the scoring, touching home one more time in the 4th. Simon Spittle pitched a great game striking out 5 and getting some great play from his defense. Dylan Kramer had 3 put-outs by himself to close the game in the 4th. The big mites look to keep their momentum with two more games this week before they have their tournament on the 19th.
