Bryan and Lauren Biegler, along with children Alaina, age 9, Aubrey, age 8, and Wesley, age 7, were chosen as this year’s Murray County Farm Family of the Year. They will be recognized during the recognition ceremony at Farm Fest on August 9th.

After graduating from high school, Bryan attended Minnesota West Canby and gained a degree in Agri-business Management. Lauren attended Iowa State University and obtained a degree in Agriculture Business and Marketing. She has worked for both Pioneer Seeds and Cargill.

The couple married on August 18, 2007. They are the fourth generation of Bieglers to farm the land.

The farm was established in 1886 by Bryan’s great-grandfather. It passed down to Bryan’s grandfather and then to  Bryan’s mom and dad, Bud and Louise. Recently Bud and Louise  moved to town and Bryan and Lauren moved onto the family farm in May of 2018. Concerning the move, daughter Aubrey said, “It’s really nice. We get to see more of Grandpa and Grandma and we get to see more of Dad, too.”
