Glenn “Corky” Kluis

What position you are vying for and why you feel you are qualified:

Murray County Commissioner District #4. Long time citizen of Slayton. Four year experience as a County Commissioner, out and about in Slayton. I walk, or bike, around town most days (both summer and winter) and am available to meet with people in person. I am honest, sincere and dedicated to the work required to represent the people of Slayton and Murray County. I have no hidden agenda and try to treat all people with respect.

Experience for office sought:

Four years as County Commissioner. In the past I have volunteered for many organizations such as Hospice, Food Shelf, Murray County Fair and have been active in the church I attend.

Wife: Margaret. Daughters: Kathy and Susan. Son: Robert. Three grandchildren.

Jim Kluis

What position you are vying for and why you feel you are qualified:

Murray County Commissioner District #4.

Experience for office sought:

My wife, Joan, and I have lived on the same farm in Fenton Township, Murray County for 43 years. We have now lived in Slayton for the past nine years. As the former owner of Crop Insurance Specialists, I have had a lot of experience dealing with people. While living on the farm, I also served nine years on the Chandler Cenex Board and have also served on the Board of Elders at a local church while living on the farm.

Family, if you so choose to list them:

Wife: Our two sons and their wives and families have taken over our farming operation. Our daughter and family live in Mankato. We have seven grandsons and two granddaughters.

Aarron Mollema

What position you are vying for and why you feel you are qualified:

Murray County Commissioner District #4. With my years of growing up on a farm, it gave me the understanding that hard work is the first step in being successful in life. Being a manager in both the service industry and retail, I understand budgets, inventory, human resources and customer service.

Experience for office sought:

Manager at Applebee’s: 2005-2006, Manager at Pizza Hut: 2007-2010, Ass’t Manager at Office Max: 2011-2013, Manager at Applebee’s: 2014-2015.

Wife: Jenna. Children: Elias (14), Alexander (12), and Tobias (1).

Wayne Mollema

What position you are vying for and why you feel you are qualified:

Murray County Commissioner District #4. I was raised in Murray County and graduated from Lake Wilson High School. I am an Air Force Veteran, work in the Community; I am of sound mind and have plenty of common sense. I hear complaints about how the County is being run on a daily basis and am willing to stand up and try to make things better for Citizens of Murray County. After the Military, I came back to this community for a reason. It is a great place to live. My children and grandchildren are being raised here. It is time to make changes in Murray County that benefit the PUBLIC.

Experience for office sought:

I have worked hard all of my life, working two jobs at times. I am a dedicated, extremely loyal individual, church going and family man. I believe in the good in people and would do ANYTHING to help someone in need. I always offer solutions to individuals with problems and I truly understand hardships and hard times for farmers and the working citizens.

Family, if you so choose to list them:

I am happily married and have been so for 36 years. We have four grown children, three of which live in Murray County; one is in California in the Air Force. We are proud of each and every one of them. We also have 11 wonderful grandchildren and love to spend as much time as possible with them.

Patrica Pagel

What position you are vying for and why you feel you are qualified:

Murray County Commissioner District #4. Committed, concerned about the county and its future, proactive, open minded.

Experience for office sought:

No prior political experience. Fifteen years experience in non-profit fundraising, including leadership positions, prior managerial experience, involved with American Legion Auxiliary and am currently on the 2nd District ALA Executive Board.

Husband: Brad. Six children (two of my own and four step-children). Ten grandchildren.
