Council debates South Lafayette Ave.

The Fulda City Council met Monday, October 7, for their regular monthly meeting. In the Open Forum, the Bondin Township Board wanted to discuss the road joining South Lafayette Ave. The city maintains it at this point just to the edge of the city limits. The Bondin board said there have been past agreements with the City of Fulda that the city would maintain the road in part for annexing a portion into the city along with 13 people. The debate was cut short by the mayor  who said the discussion on that subject could be done before the next regular meeting on November 4 one half hour before the regular 6:30 time.

Larry Schindler said the Fulda Game and Fish will be doing lake clean up on Saturday, October 26, at 9 a.m. and would like volunteers to help.

A proposal from gWorks to provide GPS data collection-mapping grade+ for water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer for $22,780.00. The proposal was rejected unanimously.

Buildings permits were approved for Janet Speckmeier – replace sidewalk and add deck, Lori Stainer – dog fence, New Dawn – concrete driveway, Dennis Paplow – new storage shed and Lawrence Filter -chain link fence. All of them were approved. The dog fence for Filter will be with the stipulation that the city would not be held libel for damage from snow plowing because of its closeness to the city alley.

The next council meeting is scheduled for November 4 at 6:00 pm.
