Heron Lake-Okabena / Fulda split a pair of close games in the Freshman Boys Basketball Tournament at Edgerton last Saturday, February 1.
The Coyotes were edged, in overtime, by Edgerton (38-37) in the first game of the morning’s consolation round (HLOF was defeated by Adrian, 43-36, a week earlier) and bounced back with a 31-28 victory over Mountain Lake Area / Comfrey in the seventh-place game.
Edgerton had a slim two-point lead (15-13) at halftime on the Coyotes and scored the only point in overtime after regulation time ended in a 37-37 tie.
