The visiting Lakeview Lakers tossed in the winning basket in a sudden-death overtime thriller in the C-Squad girls’ basketball game at Okabena Saturday afternoon, November 24, claiming a 25-23 victory over Heron Lake-Okabena / Fulda. It was the first-ever game played by the newly-created pairing arrangement between the two schools.
Later, the HL-O / Fulda B-Squad overcame an early 16-0 deficit and battled back to take several first-half leads on the Lakers before Lakeview gradually took command and earned a 62-35 victory.

“We played really good basketball at the end of the first half and the beginning of the second in the B-Game,” said Coyotes’ coach Jonathon Curry. “We had a nice run to end the first half in the C-Game, too, and had an exciting overtime finish.”
