Eighth-grader Lily Daniels continued her success in junior high meets, placing sixth among 46 total finishers with a time of 9:33.3 over a 2,100-meter (1.3 miles) course. Classmates Lindsey Hause (21st overall, 14th team scoring, 10:32.5) and Jayda Hellewell (26, 15, 10:52.9), along with seventh-graders Courtney Gengler (29, 17, 11:00.1) and Sophia Nelson (32, 19, 11:07.7) combined for a fourth-team score of 67 (2-14-15-17-19), while eighth-grader Molly Clarke (41, 23, 11:45.9) was the team’s sixth runner.
Sophomore Chelby Keesteloot placed 13th (among 43 finishers) in the JV race, completing 5,000 meters in 25:02.5, while freshman Megan Bakke was right behind in 14th place with her time of 25:10.5. Sophomore Meline Dernoncourt ran a 30th-place time of 29:18.3 for the Warriors in the junior varsity event.
The Section 3A cross country meet will be run at the Madison Country Club on Thursday, October 24.
