Fulda School Board vote 4 to 3 against Flexible Learning Year

The Fulda School Board held a short special meeting Tuesday, January 15th, with the purpose of voting on the Flexible Learning Year. The board had held their public meetings for parents to voice concerns. Turn out at one had about eighteen people who voiced their disapproval on starting school one week earlier than normal.

The board vote Tuesday was four to three against the proposal. The motion was made by Tom Klein, seconded by Tim Hermeling to participate in the Flexible Learning Year Program. Those voting for the motion were Tom Klein, Tim Hermeling, and Dayton Westra. Voting against the proposal was Dan Fischer, Linda Lund, Stan Kramer and Thean Pagel.

The meeting lasted less than ten minutes.
