The trip is an educational tour through EF Educational Tours which strives to put Education First in all of the tours that it leads.
Twelve students of Fulda High School have been busy gearing up for the trip of a lifetime! They are part of a 19 person group traveling to England and France in June of 2010. The trip is an educational tour through EF Educational Tours which strives to put Education First in all of the tours that it leads. While on tour, EF Tours provides a full time, native-speaking tour guide and bus to transport students to and from site seeing. In order to prepare themselves for the adventure, the students have been studying various aspects of British and French cultures in order to contribute fully to their experience while in those countries.

Tour leaders Steph Strenge and Lisa Letcher host monthly “Lunch and Learn” meetings to discuss such topics as international travel requirements for U.S. citizens, exchanging money, packing for the trip, weather conditions in England and France, and many more topics to prepare the students for the 10 days they will spend on tour.

While on tour, the Travel Club will take guided city tours of London and Paris, as well as visit such landmarks as Windsor Castle, St. Paul's Cathedral, the famous Louvre Museum, and Notre Dame Cathedral. The group will enjoy a ferry ride across the English Channel which will bring them to France where they will get to spend a couple of days in the Normandy Region of France. There, the group will tour the American Cemetery and Pointe du Hoc, both D-Day Beaches from World War II.

Every day as the trip grows closer, the group becomes more excited about the experiences that lay ahead of them while on tour. For some students, this will be the first trip out of the United States and for some, it will even be their first plane ride!
