St. Paul’s Lutheran School has new playground equipment for their students. The equipment was purchased by the Parent-Teacher League from Rainbow Play Systems, Sioux Falls, SD. It was installed on August 17th by Rainbow Play Systems, and stained by volunteers the following Saturday. Five gallons of stain were provided by Rainbow Play Systems.
Lucy Goedtke, chairperson for the Playground Euipment Committee, said that the funds to purchase the playground equipment were raised through the school’s Silent Auction and through the students annual Walk-A-Thon, which is held in May each year.
Volunteers also came together to complee the installation of the new equipment prior to the beginning of school. They laid in pea rock to comply with required safety standards for public play equipment.
Miss Christy Milbrath’s class was playing on the equipment last Monday during recess and showed their approval of the new purchase by demonstrating all of the fun that they could have on the equipment.
