The promise of frost again makes for a cool weekend ahead. Last Saturday it was in the eighties and looking at being in the forties. Well over fifty percent of the crop has been harvested and the rest will be out in the next few weeks. The duck hunting is on hold with the new split season until the thirteenth. I'm not wanting to be able to hunt ducks in December enough to give up days in October. But give it a try we will. It's unbelievable the amount of money that's being spent on the presidential campaign. Over 90 million dollars was dropped on Ohio already and there is a lot of time left to spend more. * * * Ole Torkelson is quite a clown...always joking. Even in the hospital. When he was laid up in the hospital and someone knocked at the door, he’d call out, “Who goes dere...friend or enema?” * * * You’ve heard about bad cooks...Lena actually keeps Alka Seltzer on tap. * * * Have a good week. |
