Fulda Fire Department to cover Dundee area
The November 5th meeting of the Fulda City Council was short at one half hour. Fire chief Les Speckmier said that the agreement with the city of Dundee Fire Department over providing fire protection for Dundee. Dundee will pay $1000 per year plus the usual $350 per fire call by the property owner. The contracts will be signed at the December 5th meeting.

A request for a special assessment by Phil Bjerke for a new sewer line installation and sidewalk was approved.

The extension of the contract with Schaap Sanitation was approved. Smaller recycling bins are available by calling city hall.

The special meeting of the city council to canvas the election results was set for November 13th at 6 pm.

The water treatment plant is due for a major overhaul with a new filter and pumps. The plant is 21 years old and overdue for a update. The cost of the project could be 50,000 to 100,000 dollars. The improvements are expected to improve the quality of the water.

Building permits were approved for V. Chapman- sunroom, D. McNeal - replace and extend concrete driveway, S. Halverson - extend driveway.

The next regular council meeting will be Monday December 5th. Following the 7 pm Truth In Taxation hearing.
