The Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9017 gave a program to commemorate Veterans' Day to each of the three grade schools in Fulda this week. Mrs. Arthur Buschena sang “America, the Beautiful” and Mr. Tom Webb spoke on “What America Means to Me”.
William Tomford rites were held here on Saturday. Mr. Tomford passed away at his home on November 7th at the age of 82 years old.
Marlene Haberman was united in marriage to Roger Frank at Basilica of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Minneapolis on Saturday.
Susan Klasse and Gary Grothe were united in marriage on Saturday, November 10th at Christ Lutheran Church in Slayton.
Mrs. Ray Reker has been a patient in the Worthington Hospital since Friday.
Walter Denney has been a patient at the Slayton Hospital since last Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. V. J. Monteleone are the parents of a daughter.
Mrs. E. O. Reusse has spent several weeks at the home of her daughter and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry Limoges are the parents of a daughter born last week. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. C. H. McIntire.

The Fulda Raider girls volleyball team lost the District Championship to Jasper on Tuesday night.
Lee and Susan Christensen are proud to announce the birth of their son, Daniel Keil on November 5th. Grandparents are Ernest and Dorothy Keil.
Hazel M. Graf passed away on November 9th at the age of 78 years old.
Leo E. Bruns passed away suddenly at his farm home on November 3, 1982. He had reached the age of 59 years, 7 months and 15 days.

Fulda seniors, David Handy and Julie Olsem attended the Annual Chemical Abuse Prevention Team Workshops in St. Cloud on November 4th and 5th.
Fulda residents elected a new mayor, Gary Holden, returned an incumbent to city council for another term, Ron Kellen, and elected a new member to the city council, Barb Sandhurst, in Tuesday's election.
The corn harvest is not going as well as it has in the past few years. Warm temperatures on Monday helped thaw the snow off the ears of corn. Farmers in some areas were out combining once again on Tuesday.
Bertha Bottin is honored as Resident of the Month at Maple Lawn Nursing Home.

Evelyn Pederson passed away at the home of her son (Larry Pederson) on November 4th at the age of 76 years old.
Francis Knott passed away unexpectedly on November 2nd at the age of 83 years old.
Violet Purrington passed away at the age of 72 years old on Saturday, October 31, 1992.
