The Fulda girls' basketball team played the 5th game of the Red Rock Jamboree in Adrian Saturday night against the SWU Wildcats.
They played a solid 20 minutes and came away with the victory by score of 31-19. The Raiders had to play without two of their starters due to injuries sustained earlier in the day at a scrimmage in Morgan, MN, vs. the Cedar Mountain Comfrey Cougars.
Fulda came out strong and put together a strong defense and virtually shut down the Wildcats except for Courtney Place who was able to score 11 of the SWU's 19 points. The Raiders were led by Amanda Schumacher with 9 points, followed by Melissa Gehl with 7. The rest of the scoring went as followed: Rachel Cheadle (6), Laura Williams (4), Courtney Tiesler (2), Ruth Cheadle (2), and Randi Tiesler (1).
The Fulda Raiders will open their regular season Saturday in Fulda against the Lakeview Lakers. "C" team begins at 5:00 with "B" and Varsity to follow. |
