Friday, November 30th the Fulda boys basketball team will travel to Adrian to open up their 2012-2013 season.
Last Saturday night they participated in the Red Rock Jamboree in Slayton where they faced off with Hills-Beaver Creek. The twenty minute spurt found the Raiders, overall, playing very well.

“Offensively really did a nice job of getting up and down the court and getting good shots off from the outside, they just did not go in,” commented head coach Colby Pack.

The Raiders found themselves in a losing effort 24-28.

Coach Pack had this to say about the upcoming season, “Defensively we are going to have to be a total team effort, due to our lack of height.” He went on to say the team is going to have to be faster than their opponents and look to help each other out on the court.

Pack hopes for it to be a competitive year and finish in the top three in conference action. “We are going to be a completely different team than last year.  We will have to be FAST and shoot a lot of jumpers from the outside.” He continued, “We will be doing a lot more pressing and picking teams up on defense in the full court.  Our ultimate goal is to put another trophy in the trophy case.” He closed by saying this group of boys is great group to coach. “They work really hard in practice,” said Pack.

Fulda has eight seniors listed on their roster: Trevor Ruesch, Viktor Toth, Kole Kramer, Zach Holt, Aaron Persing, Nathan Getting, Todd Peterson, and Andy Oakland. Complimenting the team will be juniors Cole Dierks, Ryan Schumacher, Josh Ramerth, Matt Funk and Matt Kunerth.
