With these words, the wedding vows are spoken as brides and grooms join together with family and friends to make their commitment to a life together. This week, the Johnson Publications family of newspapers publishes their annual bridal section. It is included with this week’s issue, and features stories from throughout the area. Several young couples who are in the process of planning their marriages have shared their stories. Among them are Jen Colby (Brewster) and Andy Leopold (Heron Lake); Taylor Baumhoefner (Fulda) and Anthony Bui (Worthington); Annette Magnus and Jeremy Storm (both of Slayton) and Jenessa Ling and Cody Droll (both of Okabena). One recently married couple, Katrina Kramer (Fulda) and Dan Philp (Waconia), share how they planned their wedding and decided to hold their reception at the Kramer family farm. A new mother, Amanda Feste of Adrian, explains how she found an innovative and unique use for her wedding dress. Also included in the bridal issue is our annual ‘guess the brides and grooms feature’. Wedding photos from years past are shown with only their towns listed. See if you can figure out who they are. The answers will be in next week’s issue, in Jerry’s Jottings column. |
