Gramma’s Kitchen, just south of Fulda on Minnesota State Highway 59, reopened its doors on Friday following a month of being closed for some remodeling.

Thirty-two chairs offer comfort to Gramma’s Kitchen customers in the dining area that now sports Harley Davidson colors. The floor was redone by Joe Rogers, Worthington, MN. “He took all of the layers of old flooring all of the way down to the cement,” owner Mari Saxhaug explained. “There were some areas of the floor that had to be smoothed and leveled out before they could start putting the epoxy on. There are three coats of epoxy on the floor. It is supposed to handle wearing for a very long time.” Although the floor is black in color, it does appear to have many tiny, tiny flecks of beige in it.

The cash register counter has been placed right next to the east entry door as a refrigerated merchandiser needed to be moved further into the dining area for better accessibility and customer viewing.
