Wally K. Schnepf, 80, of Salina, passed away, Wednesday, January 30, 2013. He was born November 17, 1932, in Pipestone, MN, the son of Carl A. and Martha J. (Schminouski) Schnepf. Wally enlisted in the U. S. Army and National Guard in 1950, he served in active duty from January 1951 to December 1952. Wally married the love of his life, Darlene B. Holinka on August 11, 1953. He was a member of American Legion from 1956 to 1970 in Pipestone, MN. Wally worked at Schwan’s Food Manufacturing as a Salesman and Packaging Engineer for 27 and half years.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Mary in 1957 and wife Darlene in 2001.
Wally is survived by one son, Terry Schnepf and wife Cheryl, of Hydro, OK; six daughters, Debra Brown and husband Scott, of Hutchinson, Connie Bachofer and husband Joe, Patty Mansfield and husband Carson, Dawn Schnepf, Julie Foster and husband Pat, all of Salina, and Jodi Klimuszka and husband Dave, of St. Charles, MO; one sister, Verna Mammenga, of Rock Rapids, Iowa; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 am, Monday, February 4, 2012 at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Burial followed in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Salina.
