SMSU was the setting for the matchup between the Fulda Raiders and the RTR Knights Saturday afternoon. Fulda came out flat and couldn't get much offense going in the first few minutes of the game. The Knights scored right away and the Raiders found themselves down 2-7. Fulda wouldn't give up and came back strong scoring the next six points, Laura Williams would drop a bucket to give the Raiders an 8-7 lead (this would be the only lead for the Raiders in the first half). RTR seemed to have the upper hand throughout the remainder of the first half and went into the break leading with the score of 24-28.

In the second half, Fulda had a complete turnaround. What the Raiders couldn't accomplish in the first 18 minutes of the contest, they found a way to score on the Knights and stop any attempt by RTR to take control in the last 18 minutes of play. Melissa Gehl came out and scored the first points for Fulda followed by a bucket by Courtney Tiesler to tie the matchup at 28-28. The Knights would score the next 4 points, but back to back baskets by Rachel Cheadle and Sariah Cheadle once again had the score knotted at 32-32. With 10:45 remaining in the game, Amanda Schumacher nailed a 3 pointer from the left side and put the Raiders up 35-32. Consistent plays on defense and offense gave the Raiders the lead for the remainder of the game. Fulda would finish the game 57-43 and move their overall record to 16-6.

Leading scorer for the Raiders went to Sariah Cheadle with 14 points; Brittney Hermeling scored 13, followed by Melissa Gehl with 11 points. Rachel Cheadle put in 9 points, Courtney Tiesler added 5, Amanda Schumacher 3, and Laura Williams with 2 rounded out the scoring for the Raiders.

As a team the Raiders went 10 of 16 from the free throw line.

On a foggy Tuesday night in Jeffers the Fulda Raiders completely dominated the Falcons. Fulda never trailed in this contest. The girls came to play and proved they are a force to reckon with in the Red Rock Conference. Brittney Hermeling had an awesome night for the Raiders scoring a career high 26 points while grabbing 9 steals, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. Rachel Cheadle also had an impressive night for Fulda sinking 16 points and securing 4 rebounds.

In the first half, Fulda jumped out to a 12 -3 lead and kept the Falcons to less than 10 points with 8 minutes left in the opening period. RRC would not go away quietly and inched their way back into the game, almost evening the score at 25-24 before Brittney Hermeling scored the last five points of the first half to give the Raiders a 29-24 lead at halftime. "I'm glad we put together a solid second half. We really picked things up. The team came out and finish strong," explained Hermeling.
