St. Paul’s Lutheran School’s Parent-Teacher League will host two gospel music concerts by Jennie Williamson, of AriSon Records, on Thursday, February 28th, 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. The concerts have been scheduled to kick off the congregation’s celebration of Lutheran Schools Week. Please bring the whole family as AriSon, Nashville, Tennessee, will present music for all ages.
Williamson, and her husband, Brian, have both dealt with many of the struggles that day-to-day living can bring. Brian lost his first wife, Tatia, in a car accident during a severe thunderstorm in St. Croix County, Wisconsin. Jennie lost a close friend in an accident during the summer between her freshman and sophomore years in college. She and her first husband divorced. These tragic events helped Brian and Jennie to rely heavily upon the Lord for comfort and strength to face each new day.
Brian and Jennie, who had known one another prior to the tragic events in their lives, found that God was bringing them together as a couple. They were married on July 1, 2000.
“From that moment on, we prepared for the plan that we knew God was about to unveil in our lives. Since our wedding day, we have tried not to take life for granted. We know that life can change in a split second,” Brian wrote in the couple’s biography. “With God as the center of our lives, we live each day as if it were the last. We treasure hugs and smiles and the words ‘I love you’.
