Mr. and Mrs. Louis Petersen will observe their Golden Wedding Anniversary on March 17th with an open house.

The Fulda Archery Club held its monthly meeting Thursday evening, March 7. A name was chosen for the club and as of this meeting it shall be known as White Diamond Bowmen.

“Doc” Schwarz, a Fulda businessman, and owner of Schwarz Archery and Manufacturing Company has designed and patented a new arrow called the “Snaro”. The Snaro is used for wing shooting with a bow and consists of 4 - 3 inch steel wire loops fashioned in the pattern of a clover-leaf.

Mrs. Dora Chrisine Behr, 90, passed away on March 9th in Luverne.

Funeral service for Constantine J. Haberman, 67, were held on March 8th at St. Gabriel Cahtolic Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Pederson and Harry Olson attended the funral of E. R. Rupp, 63, on Thursday. Mr. Rupp passed away of a heart attack.

Joan Larson and Robert Kellin announce their engagement. A November wedding is planned.

Capturing high roller honors in bowling this week were Fred Zemler who tossed a 223; Larry Koster with a 216; Ferne Grothe with a 221; and Norm Breit with a 235.

On average, Minnesota farmland sold for $1,179 per acre, with most of the land being sold by retiring farmers.

Chuck Friese and Doug Knutson won the two open positions on the board of the Farmers Cooperative Commission Company at the annual meeting.

The Fulda High School concert Band received Superior ratings from all three judges at the Annual District 8 Large Group music contest held in Luverne.

The fourth annual basketball game between the Fulda City Slickers and the Fulda Farmers is set for Tuesday, March 22 at the high school. Leading off the triple-header will be the senior boys against the faculty followed by the old-timer City Slicers vs old-timer Farmers game and then the young-timer City Slicers vs young-timer Farmers game.

Students at St. Paul's Lutheran School participated in the Jump Rope for Heart-a-thon.

Mr. and Mrs. Pete Freys will celebrate their 50th anniversary on March 20th.

Mr. and Mrs. James De La Hunt are proud to announce the birth of their son, Anthony James on March 15th.

James M. Snyder passed away at the age of 93 years old.

Amelia Nimerfroh passed away on March 10th after a lengthy illness at the age of 79 years old.

Elementary students try their hand at ceramics with the help of Gen Stewart and volunteers.

Community Players to present Bone Chiller - a play of suspense.

Dr. John Robertsen, a biochemist for SIDS Chemical Company, said that the Fulda water system is very good and could accommodate another 200 homes in the future without stressing the system.

Thirty-five persons attended the Fulda Zoning Board public hearing Monday night to discuss issuance of a conditional use permit for the construction of a dry fertilizer loading pad on the site of the former Central Lumberyard, now owned by Ramerth Ag Service. The issue was tabled by the Councilmen pending the gathering of further information.

Andrea Odenbrett and Steven Hogie announce their engagement. An April 24th wedding day is being planned.

Dan and Lori Ortiz are proud to announce the birth of a baby girl, Louisa Marie born in Ketchikan, Alaska. Grandparents include Dorothy Wisdorf Keil and Richard and Margaret Ortiz.
