February 19, 2013 8:30 a.m. Pursuant to notice, the Murray County Board of Commissioners convened with the following members present: Commissioners Magnus, Giese, Moline, Jens and Thiner. Also present Aurora Heard, Heidi Winter, Gene Mailander, Excused Absence: Paul Malone.
MSP to approve the agenda as modified and to approve the February 5, 2013 minutes.
MSP that all claims as presented were approved for payment. The Chairman was authorized to sign the Audit List dated February 19, 2013 with fund totals as follows and warrants numbered138596-138675:
County Revenue Fund 51,914.61
County Road & Bridge Fund 11,364.19
County Ditch Fund 100.44
Sunrise Terrace 1,146.87
MSP to set a public hearing for March 19, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. for the purpose of taking public input on a new county-issued liquor license for Breezy Point Tavern (Shetek Township).
MSP to approve the Murray County Pre-and Post-Issuance Compliance Policy and Procedures, relating to the $2,590,000 General Obligation Sewer Revenue Crossover Refunding Bonds, Series 2013A as authorized on January 29, 2013.
MSP to approve the updated amounts and authorize the signatures on the updated lease for Southwest Health and Human Services.
MSP to approve and authorize the Chair to sign the DHS transportation service agreement between Murray County transportation program and Southwest Health and Human Services for 2013.
MSP to approve the updated seasonal recycling center job description.
MSP to approve the recruitment process for a seasonal part time recycling center position at 29 hours per week from April 1, 2013 – September 30, 2013.
MSP to approve accepting Dean McDaniel’s resignation from the SAWS Committee effective February 8, 2013.
MSP to approve accepting the letter from the Murray County Medical Center medical staff.
MSP to approve obtaining quotes for replacing flooring in the Auditor/Treasurer’s office, highway department, and extension office. Open Forum / Public Comment – Peter Ford, Mayor of Iona was present to discuss Minnesota Trunk Highway 267, a MnDOT road.
MSP to approve highway department purchase the 2013 budgeted highway department shop items
MSP o authorize an expenditure of $585.09 to Murray County Soil & Water Conservation District for 100 Hybrid Willows to be planted at West Lake Sarah Park (account code 01-521-523-6302).
MSP to authorize the purchase of three new parks department mowers with trade.
MSP to approve to allow the use of the event permit in the Murray County Park system.
MSP to approve any Commissioner attend the March 18, 2013 Drainage meeting in Willmar.
MSP to accept the low bid and award the project to River Ridge Construction in the amount of $309,921.00 for Murray Township bridge Project SAP 51-599-93.
MSP to approve the Commissioner Vouchers for the period of February 3, 2013 to February 16, 2013. The meeting was adjourned at 11:24 a.m.
