The site chosen for the Maple Lawn Nursing Home, Inc was voted on and passed by a majority vote at a recent meeting. The membership voted to build the Home on the John Buschena site.
Fulda now has 21 men serving as volunteer firemen.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schmitt are the parents of a daughter born Tuesday, April 9th.
William Samp died after a fall last week in Willmar. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at the Reusse Funeral Home.
Graveside services were held Wednesday for Shari Lynn, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ramerth at St. Gabriel's Church.

Jocelyn Evenson, a sixth grader of the Fulda Public School, received a first-place blue-ribbon award in the Elementary Division, Southwestern, Minnesota Science Fair held in Mankato on April 6th.

The matter of consolidating the Farmers Coop Commission Co. and the Fulda Coop Oil Co. comes to a vote on Friday, April 22nd.
Joan Olsem and Becky Clausen will be representing Fulda in the State Speech Contest to be held in Shakopee on Friday.
St. Gabriel's set celebration for Sister Carol Ann Gosse's 25th Anniversary of Religious Profession for Sunday, April 24th.
Deb Crowley has been chosen as Fulda Girl's Stater.
Darla Quarnstrom received the John Philip Sousa Band Award during the Spring Concert held on Sunday.
Carla Freese is enjoying the independence of answering her own phone in her room at Courage Residence in Maple Grove. Carla was injured in a pickup accident in March of 1981. She continues to pursue her interests in the arts and gives credit to the Courage Center for her growth in independence.
Celebrating birthdays at Maple Lawn this month are Ida DeBrun and Leona Ramerth.
Fred George Gundermann passed away on April 12th at his home after a lengthy illness at the age of 91 years old.
Harriet Anderson died at the age of 83 on April 14th.

Fulda City Council is developing a five-year plan involving major street improvements, public buildings and parks.
Dale Nelson became Fulda's new part-time officer as of April 2. Dale is also a water patrol officer.
The Fulda Fire Department responded to a call at the Fulda Soil and Service Center on Sunday as a precaution to avert a potentially dangerous situation where release valves popped off an anhydrous tank.
Pupils in Mr. Harvey Carroll's sixth grade class learned the art of measuring the weight and length of a laboratory rat and log the results for future experimentation.
Five Fulda students brought home a team trophy for taking first place in the Southwest Minnesota Spelling Bee, they are Jason Schettler, Charlie Brockway, Jordan Van Oort, Jacob Maertens and Rita Rehborg.
Herbert Baumgard passed away on April 13th at the age of 65 years old.
Monsignor Stanislaus Grabowski, 81, died April 1st at his home in North Rewood, MN.
