G. H. Erlandson, has retired from his position as mail carrier for Kinbrae and Dundee after 48 years of service.
Fred Sellman passed away late Saturday at the age of 83 years old.
Carol Haberman and Melvin Tennessen were married in a double ring ceremony on September 2nd at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dundee.
Mrs. E. McDonald passed away on Sunday evening after suffering for seven months from cancer. Bertha was 52 years old.
Staff Sergeant Lyle Overlees is assumed dead after an extensive search in the Atlantic following what is said to be a scheduled mission to refuel aircraft returning from overseas. The refuel was complete but the aircraft failed to radio in at the next scheduled reporting point. More than 50 planes participated in the search.
Dial telephone will be ready for use here on Sunday, October 6th.
The Fulda dump grounds will be open from 9am to 5pm starting September 11th.

The Citizens State Bank of Fulda was incorporated in 1908 and celebrates 75 years this year. R. P. Howe has been at the helm for 33 years as president.
Fulda Firemen acquired air bags, which help in lifting up to 34.7 tons in automobile and farm accidents.
The City of Fulda Mayor and two councilmen have been served a summons and complaint concerning the civil rights violation and claim for defamation of character of an employee. The claim is in excess of $50,000.
Sandy Henning and Dale Scheffler were united in marriage at O.L.G.C. Church in Wilmont on August 20th.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry Danneman announce the birth of Jennifer Lynn born August 30th. Mrs. Lylia Danneman is the great-grandmother.
Mr. and Mrs. Mark Underwood Bultmann announce the birth of Elizabeth Erin born August 31st. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Wally Verdugt and Mr. and Mrs. Castle Nelson.
Ruby G. Mahon passed away on September 2nd at the age of 93 years old.

The kick off breakfast for the Fulda charity drive is set for September 25th.
First day of school in Fulda goes off without a hitch.
The building continues on Fulda's east side where new homes and businesses are under construction.
The City of Fulda has established a Home Purchase Assistance Program to assist eligible families with home purchases. The program offers down payments assistance for loans up to 25% of the purchase price of the home at 1% interest.
Fulda Elementary's new part-time second-grade teacher, Lee Crowley, is already well acquainted with the school as she has served as substitute teacher for grades K-6 in the past.
Citizens of Tomorrow include Brittany and Casey Thedans, Kyle and Adam Jans, and Stacy and Stephanie Gunderman.
Kim Evans is the chairperson for the Country Autumn Boutique, which will be held at the fairgrounds. Diane Barstad had the boutique on her farm for a number of years and his happy to turn the project over to the Slayton women of Today chapter.

Douglas Mervin Staples passed away at the age of 45 years old on August 31, 1993.
Paige Elsie Bunkers, daughter of Joe and Bridgit Bunkers, was born on June 17th. Grandparents are John and Sally Bunkers and Ray and Virginia Gelling.
