Struggles continue for the Fulda Raider volleyball as they try to put together a full match this season.

The Raiders remain winless with Murray County Central and Southwestern United taking both games last week.

Fulda battled for the first part of game and tied the game at 5 a piece before MCC’s Sierra Van Iperen posted 8 straight points. The Raiders were able to bounce back and gain some offense, however, missed serves and out-of-bounds balls put the Rebels in control of the game winning 25-10.

Game two found the Raiders neck-in-neck with a couple of nice plays by Myah Holinka including an ace serve and dig to keep the ball in Fulda’s court. A kill by Courtney Tiesler knotted the game at 5-5 before MCC went on another run scoring 10 points behind the serves of Kristi Bose putting the Rebels in a commanding lead 20-7. Fulda was only able to muster two more points before MCC took the game at 25-9.

Game three found MCC out front with the early lead 11-4. A couple of ace serves by Fulda and side outs by MCC, helped put the Raiders within reach at 10-15. However, the Rebels again were able to gain control of the service line and finished the game 25-13.

Kristi Bose led MCC with 9 kills, 13 digs and two solo blocks.

Myah Holinka was 8-of-8 serving including 4 aces and also recorded 4 kills on the night. Dani Hermeling is credited with 13 digs while Randi Tiesler netted 6 set assists.
