Bus routes longer due to increased enrollment

Next School Board meeting to be held November 12 at 6AM
The regular meeting of the Fulda Public School Board of Education was held on Monday, October 14th at 6:00 pm in the high school library.

Members present were Dan Fisher, Don Tiesler, Phil Kremer, Linda Lund, Stan Kremer, and Tom Klein. Absent was Theane Pagel. Also present were Superintendent Luther Onken, Principal Mike Pagel, Principal Gregg Slaathaug and Community Ed Director Jess Mitchell. Speaking at the Open Forum were Steph Strenge and Mike Zins.

The Consent Agenda was approved with the addition of Project Cope. Items included and approved in the Consent Agenda were; Amy Konradi as Assistant Speech Director, Steve Kellen as Assistant Basketball Coach, Aaron Cheadle as Jr. High Boy's Basketball Coach, and Jonathon Curry as Jr. High Girl's Basketball Coach. Kerri Hooge was approved to work in the Food Service department for 3 hours/day. Alice Spartz was approved as director for Project Cope for school years 13-14 and 14-15. Several enrollment requests were also approved.

Steph Strenge presented the Board with testing options for students that would meet with Minnesota Assessment System and Requirements for 2013-2016. The goal is to direct and support each student in getting ready for graduation whether that be going out into the workforce, a tech school or a 4-year college.
