Fulda Senior Dining celebrated Minnesota State’s recognition of 40 years of Senior Nutrition services last week. Senior Nutrition services were established in the state through the Older Americans Act of October 1973.

Millions of Senior Nutrition meals have been served over that 40 year time span. Besides providing nutritious meals within the community, Senior Nutrition sites also serve as a place for seniors to congregate and socialize.

Senior Nutrition also provides home-delivered meals to homebound individuals. This service helps meet nutritional needs, offers health and safety checks, and provides socialization.

Lutheran Social Service (LSS) Senior Nutrition oversees the Fulda Meal Site. Nutritious, low-cost meals are provided for seniors 60 years of age or older. To complement the delicious meals that are served, seniors may also obtain information about senior services that are offered with the area.

Home delivered meals are sent out from the Fulda Meal Site to homebound seniors. They are delivered by a dedicated team of volunteers.

The Fulda Senior Center is located at 107 North Lafayette, Fulda, Minnesota 56131. Meals are served Monday through Friday at 11:30 a.m.
