opens season with Lakeview
Sariah Cheadle knocked down four three-pointers, finishing the night with 16 points. It wasn’t, however, enough to help the Fulda Raider girls basketball over the hump. Fulda fell to the Lakeview 63-49 as they open their season.

At mid-break in the contest, the Raiders found themselves down by seven, 25-32 and remained a steady throughout the second half until the closing minutes.

Fulda was able to hold Lakeview to just one 3-point shot early in the game. Turnovers and fouls played havic with the Raider offense allowing the Lakers to have the upper hand.

Lakeview’s freshman Sadie Stelter led the Lakers wih 26 points and contributed eight assists along with five rebounds.

Melissa Gehl is also credited with 16 points along with 8 rebounds while Courtney Tiesler dropped in 13 points in the contest.

Head coach Gregg Slaathaug comments about the game included, "We have work to do and we will do it."

Fulda will travel to Westbrook-Walnut Grove on Thursday night and will host Wabasso next Tuesday night.
