Fulda City Council approves two lots in Wood Duck Addition

The request for two lots in the Woodduck Addition, to build a duplex, for one dollar each was also approved.
The Fulda City Council met Monday night, February 3. The interviews of the five finalists were held last week and now the background checks. In other unfinished business, the council voted to cover the cost of the $915.20 for 160,000 gallons of water to fill the swimming pool. The Washington Avenue water main replacement project was tabled until the next meeting. The project will be two blocks of 6 inch main replacement and curb stop lines to residences and and the grade school. The council approved the fire department officer appointments. The Fire Chief is David Baumhoefner Fire Asst. Chief: Ted Dierks, Second Asst: Doug Canfield and Sec/Treasurer Mike Millbrath. Darwin Kruse representing the Fulda EDA requested the appointment of Michelle Baumhoefner to the EDA board. The request for two lots in the Woodduck Addition, to build a duplex, for one dollar each was also approved. The EDA board has seven members and will now be made up of two council members and five members of the general public. An ad promoting the Fulda Woodduck Addition will run in the Murray County Visitors Guide. Doc Schwarz said that the Fulda Heritage Society has had a $60,000 approval for a building by the state for 2015. The location will be south of the depot.
