St. Gabriel's Catholic Church was the scene of a pretty wedding on Saturday morning when Marilyn Davis became the bride of Steven Betz.
Mrs. Joseph Weicherding announced the marriage of her daughter, Ellen to David Elskamp, son of Mrs. Fredick Elskamp, on Friday, January 31st at St. Gabriel Catholic Church.
Carol Horn and Howard Lehman are engaged to be married. A June wedding is planned.

Christian Oberloh passed away on February 2nd following a stroke he suffered on January 27th.

Richard Carlson had the misfortune to fall while skating on Friday and broke his ankle in two places. He was sent to Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls for treatment.

The winter storm that swept through the region on Saturday night caught many people unaware. Those stranded, had to wait out the 70 mile per hour wind in a variety of ways; spending the night at the Dumont Street Bar, at homes along the road or in vehicles.
