Matt Steffen, formerly of Fulda, MN, has received the 2014 Outstanding Manager Award through McDonalds. He is employed at the McDonalds in St. James, MN.

Steffen graduated from Fulda High School in 2004. In February, he will have worked for McDonalds for the past eleven years. He worked as an assistant manager at McDonalds in Windom until accepting the manager’s position in St. James in 2007.

Steffen’s training has included attending Minnesota West, Worthington, MN, the Hamburger University, Oak Brook, IL, and taking several business management courses in the Twin Cities.

“The Outstanding Manager Award is awarded based on store operations, sales, and profits,” Steffen explained. “There are 780 stores in our Region. I am very honored to have received the Outstanding Manager Award. I really enjoy working for McDonalds. It definitely keeps me young.”

Steffen and his wife, Renae, were married in 2006. The couple have five children: Noah, age 6 (in first grade), Kendra, age 4 (in preschool), Miles, age 3 (also in preschool), and twin girls (born on October 30th) Aubrey and Baylee. The family resides in Windom.
