Softball to be offered in cooperation with Southwest Star Concept

Fulda School Board
The engagement with the audit firm of Drealan Kvilhaug Hoefker & Co., P.A. to audit the school district's finances for the school year 2013-2014 was approved in the boards consent agenda. In other agenda items, two open enrollments were approved into the district and one contract was approved for Tami Wiener in food services. Julie Hulstein resigned from food services but would work as a sub. Colby Pack will be the assistant golf coach, Jonathon Curry will be the junior high golf coach. There are ten boys signed up for golf and twenty girls. The district received $42,509.77 for a settlement through the SW/WC Service Cooperative Minnesota Schools Group Insurance Pool Plan. The money was returned because of a favorable experience of the group

Kindergarten Roundup is set for March 18 and Preschool Open House is March 28.

Three full days will be added to the school calender after Memorial Day because of snow days

The board approved the 2013-2014 Revised Budget for the Fulda Public Schools with revenues at $4,093,079.00 and expenditures at $4,870,790.00.

The Fulda Schools and Southwest Star Concept will be cooperating with girls softball. The team will be the Southwestern United Wildcats. The team consisting of five Fulda girls and fifteen girls from Southwest Star Concept and will be hosted by Southwest Star Concept.

Loren Carlson will be retiring at the end of this school year

The next regular school board meeting will be the second Tuesday of April.
