Girls beaten by a strong Windom team

May 2, 2014

Tuesday
Last Tuesday the golf team traveled to Windom to play during a beautiful afternoon of weather. The winds were light and the sun was great which made golfing a challenging course a little easier. The girls lost to a strong Windom team by a score of 184-206 but were not disappointed in their efforts. Katie Reynolds led the team with a 48 shooting two pars and three bogeys. Caitlin Strenge was right behind her with a 49 as she had two pars and two bogeys. Brittany Leinen was also right there with a 50 as she managed one par and three bogeys. Freshman Claire Westra turned in the fourth score with a 59 as she picked up two bogeys on the afternoon. Tatym Zins also golfed in the varsity meet and gained some valuable experience as did Nicole Sauer and Savannah Klosterman as they golfed junior varsity. Kelsey Hanefeld of Windom was the medalist as she shot a 42.
