June 19, 2014

Submitted article
The Fulda Area Big Band will be opening the festivities for the 2014 Wood Duck Festival with a ‘Concert-In-the-Park’ to be presented at 6:00 p.m., on the Vi and Maynard arson Band Shell in Fulda’s City Park. Many old and familiar favorites will be played including “In the Mood”, “Stars Fell On Alabama”, “Sentimental Journey”, “American Patrol”, “Tea For Two”, “Birth of the Blues”, and “A String of Pearls.” Directed by Mike Peterson, the Fulda Area Big Band features many area musicians, including several from Fulda and Worthington, and many that are alumni of the Fulda High School Band Program. The Wood Duck Fireworks Committee will also be sponsoring a fundraising Burger Supper starting at 5:00 p.m., and serving until the food is gone!

Start out the Fulda Wood Duck celebration on Thursday evening by enjoying a great meal, and listening to some classic and timeless big band music! See you in the park, and don’t forget your lawn chair!

In case of inclement weather, both the burger supper (starting at 5:00 p.m.) and big band concert (starting at 6:00 p.m.) will be held in the Fulda Community Center.
