Thursday, July 30, 1964

A fire of unknown origin completely destroyed the barn on the Frank Kuehl farm on Tuesday afternoon.

Dr. McNear is opening a medical practice in Heron Lake as of August 1st.

Harold Nelson has sold his drug store to Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Pekas. The Nelsons have been in business in Fulda for over 36 years.

Sherri Roberts is the new Water Festival Queen. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Roberts.

Red Owl store offering round steak for 79¢; bacon for 43¢ a pound; and ice cream for $1.04.

Fulda Theatre showing “Mail Order Bride” starring Buddy Ebsen and Keir Dullea.

Mr. and Mrs. Ted Seidel are the parents of a daughter born July 24th. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Alex Ramerth.

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Haupert are the parents of a son, Scott born July 23rd. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Don Kuehl.

Murray County Fair begins on August 15th. Nobles County Fair starts August 9th.

The 10th Annual threshing Show of Pioneer Power will be held on the grounds of Yellow Medicine County Agricultural and Transportation Museum on August 4th and 5th.

Lisa Marie Frederick and Merlin Wahl announce their engagement. A September 8th wedding is being planned.

Mary Ann Schmidt, 82, died Wednesday July 11th.

Citizens of Tomorrow include Jacob Maertens, Kari Rae Evers, and Leann Prahm.

Dundee Nothing Days celebrated over the weekend complete with a parade, clowns and Sr. Citizens King and Queen.

Wednesday, August 3, 1994

Murray County Ethnic Day was held on Sunday at the fairgrounds. Harry Brosam displayed his craft of broom making.

Dundee Nothing Days was a great success this past weekend with watermelon seed spitting contests, turtle races, a parade and more.

Forty Fulda men traveled to Colorado to attend a Promise Keepers event were they eagerly committed to the seven promises of the group.

Northwest Gas Company hooked up its first line in Fulda last Wednesday at the home of Alvin and Arlene Heintz.

John Diekman is honored as Resident of the Month at Maple Lawn Nursing Home.

First Dollar of Pure Profit was presented to Connie Knorr for her Adult Day Services from Cindy Steiner, Mary Schipper and Jerry Steiner, all representing Fulda Retail Trade.

Ramona Wachholz and John Raglan were united in marriage on July 9th in Lewiston, MN.

Kathy Bode and Brian Olsem were united in marriage on April 9th in Owatonna, MN.

Lee and Bob Crowley to celebrate their 25th anniversary.

Kathryn Crowley to observe her 80th birthday on Saturday.

Jason Roos passed away on July 23rd in Minneapolis.

Minnesota Agrifuels Cooperative will open a new office in Windom next week.
