Doug Ohman, New Hope, Minnesota, is a popular speaker, historian and great storyteller. He was in Fulda on Wednesday, May 29th, at Mapleview Estates to speak about his book “Historic Churches of Minnesota” which explored the history of many of the state’s oldest churches.
During his presentation, Ohman shared, “From the one-room chapel in a prairie town to the grandiose cathedral on a city street, churches stand at the heart of the Minnesota landscape. For many, churches embody the spiritual history of their towns and neighborhoods.”
In the book “Churches of Minnesota”, Doug Ohman (photographer) and award-winning writer Jon Hassler collaborated together to share stories of faith that built and today sustain the churches.
Within the book are 100 churches, including exterior and interior photographs of those churches.
The stories that he shares about the churches are what keeps his audiences raptly listening and asking questions.
