Dr. Tarbet resigns from MCMC; Board approves request to solicit bids for new sheep barn

The Murray County Commissioners met in regular session on Tuesday, October 1st. After reviewing the bills and minutes the board gave their approval. A change order for JD improvement was discussed and after lengthy discussion, approval was given. The order calls for removal of a pile of field stone near the demolished silo site at a cost of $2000. Also approval was given for pay application #4 for  the courts building remodel project.

Heidi Winter, auditor-treasurer, presented information regarding 2019 forfeited land sale parcels. When land is forfeited to the State, the local county board is tasked with setting a price for the property. She explained there are 14 properties on the list. Each property was discussed individually and given a base price. The parcels will sell at a forfeited land auction on December 9, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioner Room.

Travis Radke, ditch inspector, presented three ditch repair petitions (JD06, JD14, JD10) along with a list of recommended redeterminations including CD18, CD76A, and JD15. All petitions were approved along with the ditches for redetermination.
