From the south Dundee City limits north, County State-Aid Highway 39 is being reconstructed. The work is being done to complete a sewer, curb and gutter and reconstruction of the roadway project that began in 2013. At the present time, a road bed is being prepared in preparation for a final bituminous overlay.
Although those living in, or visiting Dundee, need to be a bit cautious when driving inside the city, Nobles County Engineering Technician, Pat Thier, said, “Come back in mid-July. It will look a lot different by then.”
A new sanitary sewer system, funded by the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development, was installed throughout Dundee in 2013. At that time, Mayor Wayne Paplow, had said that street improvements would probably be done within three years. “These are all good improvements for Dundee. It just takes time to get them done,” Mayor Paplow recentlystated.
